Imagine a room. Four walls, a floor, and a ceiling.

Imagine that in this room is a great treasure. The room is abundantly full of treasure that has life-changing potential.

But there are no windows to look through to see the treasure.

And there are no doors to go through to access the treasure.

Wouldn’t it be a tragedy for those who could potentially be changed by the room’s contents not to have access?

The room is a metaphor for many mission-minded individuals and organizations.

Does it describe you?

You have a service or product that is really great. You’ve thought it through, developed and refined it over time, and are ready to help others.

But you’ve put it in a room with no windows or doors.

When you don’t take the time to think about your messaging…how to position your services and products…you remove the window by which people can see how they’d benefit from working with you.

If you don’t leverage a good marketing strategy, your room exists in a vacuum. You might have the greatest products and services in the world, but nobody knows about them.

If you don’t think about your offer – making clear what you offer, explaining how it benefits your audience, and making it easy to buy it – you remove the door by which people can access the treasure trove of goodness awaiting them when they work with you.

Recently, I was talking to a client who felt like he had a room with no doors and windows. He was frustrated because he’d experienced how much his coaching helped his clients when he could get them to hire him. But he was having a hard time getting the word out about what he has to offer.

Life change was available to people, if only they could look through the window and walk through the door to get it from him.

It turns out, his messaging was off (he talked about the features of his services instead of the benefits to the customer), his offer was too unclear (people were confused about how to sign up), and he did not have a strategic marketing plan (both paid advertising and unpaid social and content marketing).

Once we spent some time helping him with his messaging and marketing, he saw a dramatic increase in customers, and he began to finally accomplish his mission.

We’d love to help you build some doors and windows in your room. If you’d like to chat about what that looks like, contact us.
